Matrix Audio Distribution
(235 total words in this text) (783 reads)
Imagine having an MP3 player that can be shared throughout the home. You say to yourself, "I already do, its called a Laptop!" Well unfortunately you have to lug this thing from room to room, limited battery life, 30-40' radius from your wireless network access point, and listen to your favorite songs with tiny 1" speakers.
With an audio matrix, you don't have these constraints. Any source, anywhere, anytime. Its like a big A/V receiver with 16+ outputs (see image below right). Image up to 16 devices like CD players, mini MP3 players, MP3 Server, AM tuner, FM tuner, XM tuner, or a new audio device in the future. These sources can now be relocated anywhere like the recreation room closet, family room millwork cabinet, closet/mechanical room rack, etc.
Imagine listening to invisible (stealth speakers shown below) speakers in the Bathroom to a MP3, FM music playing in the Kitchen, XM music playing in the Backyard? You can have elegant bookshelf speakers in the Library, while having invisible speakers in the Family Room. Literally, you can paint over the invisible speakers and never see them again!!! Mix and match speakers as necessary.
See Video Distribution for the concept diagram.
