Lighting Control
(388 total words in this text) (208 reads)
Control4 products communicate via Two-Way Zigbee mesh networking. Each Zigbee device sends/receives from another, creating a spider-web of communication links. Multiple Zigbee devices can be added to relay communications from one end of the home, to another. Additionally, you can add more Control4 products later with little or no retrofit.
This Zigbee protocol (802.15.4) is a seperate wireless network from your 2.4ghz Wi-Fi Internet network protocol (802.11).
Lighting Dimmers and Switches can be added throughout the home. A lighting keypad in your master bedroom is programmed to activate (one of multiple) lighting scenes. This can be programmed allowing for an "all off" scene. Let CMCA help automate your home and offer programming suggestions or suggest your own. Imagine, press one keypad button and the front door light turns on, hall lights dimmed to 35%, and turing off all remaining interior lights. We can customize the scenes to your needs.
The Control4 Lighting Control System replaces each existing dimmer or switch with a smart dimmer or switch. New construction allows you to relocate multi-gang light switches and dimmers and use a multibutton keypad instead. A three button keypad and six button keypad is available. A keypad can provide a simplistic look by combining the functions of many standard light switches and dimmers into a single control. The lighting products require 120 VAC power.
Or instead of a keypad, use a 4" touchscreen or even 10.5" touchscreen to control lighting, audio, video, HVAC, and more!
Lighting control used to require large lighting panels located in your basement. They also needed installation of low voltage wires to each light switch, dimmer, keypad in your home. If you wanted to add a switch later to your lighting control... you need to have holes cut, low voltage wires installed, possibly add another module in the basement to connect the wires to, and program.
With our lighting control system installed... you can add any combination of switches, dimmers, keypads. No holes need to be made and no additional low voltage wires are necessary. The products communicate wirelessly... all that is required is 120 volt AC power.
