Access Control can eliminate the need for keys by using a simple numeric keypad to unlock your back door. A key lock is also provided. Drawback for this product is a person may see your access code as you enter the digits.

Key fobs or card readers eliminate the need to remember your access code number. A key lock is also provided. Drawback for this product is you can lose the fob/card.

More advanced systems allow for biometric recognition systems that utilize a fingerprint. This system also allows a schedule to be setup based on time and/or day of week. This is helpful for setting up access to your home for service personel. A log can also track time of entry/exit. A key lock is also provided. Multiple fingers for each user are entered into the system. This is done in case you have a bandaid/cut on one finger. Drawback for this product is programming changes to add/remove users.

Interior Access Control can simply allow you to lock or unlock a door (with an electric strike or magnetic lock) from any touchpanel inside the home. An electric strike or magnetic lock is triggered "unlocked" from a Control4 device such as a touchpanel from inside the home. Status is provided on the touchpanel that the door is unlocked or locked. An electric strike doorlock will temporarily “buzz” someone into your home. This means the electric door strike produces a buzzing sound when power is applied. This is useful in notifying the person at the door that they can now enter. If you wish for a quiet lock operator, we will replace this unit with a quiet operator. The door can still be operated using a key. This product does not operate or affect the deadbolt latch.
