Building Phases: Schedule
· Design - Ideal time for CMCA to help with whole house control designs.
This phase involves the architect and the client coming up with the architectural concepts for the house.



· Drawings - Architect generates drawings and go through revisions until the customer and interior designer agree with the layout. CMCA modifies control system and presents drawings. An examples, this drawing replaces traditional lighting dimmers with smart dimmers and lighting keypads.


· Bidding - The architect or client picks builders whom can generate competitive bids on the project.


· Selection - Contractors are selected based on their bid, references, previous performance, etc.


· Permitting - The contractor(s) obtain necessary permits.



· Breaking Ground - Construction / Demolition begins.


· Site walkthru- After demolition, hidden discoveries/problems may be found. Modifications to plan are presented and changes are made. Any new discoveries or changes begins.



· Allowances replaced with products- The fun part is here. Homeowner chooses light fixtures, millwork finalized, surround system modified with the latest products, paint colors chosen for walls.



· Framing - Skeletal walls are put up.



· Pre-wire - Electrical conduit installed, low voltage cables pulled.



· Rough-In - Inwall/Inceiling speaker enclosures is installed. Low voltage panel is installed. Inwall touchpanel enclosures is installed.



· Trim Part 1 - Insulation and drywall is installed.



· Trim Part 2- Mudding of drywall, painting walls.



· Trim Part 3- Termination of all wall jacks both high and low voltage.



· Upload Programming- Computer network is setup. System programming is uploaded and tested.



· Finish - Delicate peices are brought in such as granite counter tops, cabinets, etc.


· Customer Move-in - Homeowners take posession of the home.
